A Method to Madness

The gnarled urban plan that is Boston, with its one-way streets that circle back on themselves and places where you can be on four different streets at the same time can make it difficult for even the most proficient of travelers to navigate the city successfully. Using Connexto code, I propose that imaginary grids be placed over different neighborhoods throughout the city with signs posting a code that correlate to the grid sign's grid-coordinate location.

EXAMPLE

Someone is in grid block A2 and is trying to meet a friend a G16. After scanning an A2 code, the cell phone is directed to a Java applet in which a person can enter another grid coordinate and get street directions to that particular place.
